Samlink’s new CEO, Sara Ramakers, brings a wealth of experience from her various leadership roles within Kyndryl, most recently as the Culture and Transformation Leader for Strategic Markets. Her belief in the importance of culture and a customer-centric approach has consistently proven to be a key driver of business success.
– I see Samlink as much more than just a service provider; we are a strategic partner dedicated to helping banks modernize, innovate, and transform, all while ensuring business continuity and security, Sara explains.
With a commitment to honoring Samlink’s 30-year legacy, Sara will lead the company into a new era of innovation.
– Our agenda with customers is ambitious, supporting our existing and new customers in the rapidly evolving banking environment and the need to transform, by leveraging advanced and emerging financial IT solutions, while taking into account challenges like the regulatory compliance and data privacy concerns. Building innovative solutions in co-creation with our customers and the ecosystem partners is particularly exciting, Sara notes.
Focusing on Growth
Sara plans to build on Samlink’s existing strengths while driving growth through consult services and a deeper collaboration with Kyndryl. The further rollout of Kyndryl Bridge, powered by AI, will offer new insights to run and transform businesses more effectively.
– I envision Samlink being recognized for three key attributes: our relevance in supporting our customers’ business success, our deep banking industry insights and innovation, and our disciplined execution, Sara explains.
The new CEO considers Samlink as a top asset of Kyndryl and aims to position the company as a leader in banking services, both within its core Nordic markets and on a global scale.
– We want to be the partner and employer of choice, now and in the future. We will continuously be seeking improvements and ensuring that our skills, competencies, and solutions align with the latest trends and meet evolving customer needs, Sara adds.
Global Connectivity
Though based in Belgium, Sara is committed to maintaining a strong connection with Samlink’s headquarters in Espoo. She plans to leverage remote work and frequent travel to remain closely engaged with the team.
– Having worked globally in my previous role, I believe that distance is relative. This global perspective will be invaluable as Samlink seeks to expand its influence beyond the Nordics while maintaining its deep roots in the region, Sara explains.
In addition to her professional goals, Sara is eager to explore Finland further. Having already experienced the natural beauty and hospitality of the Nordic region during family vacations, she looks forward to deepening her connection with the country.
– Exploring Finland is now at the top of our family’s travel agenda. I’m excited to get to know the people and culture better, Sara shares.
Despite a demanding career, Sara ensures she maintains a balance between work and personal life. She enjoys running, painting, traveling, and volunteering, particularly with youth. Above all, she remains deeply committed to her family.
