Co-creation is more than just a method for innovation—it’s a structured approach to solving challenges, improving services, and ensuring successful project execution. Last autumn, we successfully completed a program involving multiple projects with our customers, Samlink, and other stakeholders. By applying key co-creation principles, we were able to enhance collaboration, align expectations, and achieve our goals efficiently.

Co-creation leads to a successful completion of Projects

Co-creation brings together experts, project managers, and other roles from different stakeholder groups that all had a role in Samlinks projects. By having a good and safe atmosphere that build confidence, encouraged us all to be open. Vhile managing the expectations of all participants and being transparent during the program were important parts of our way of working, helping us all to engage with the joint target.

Making sure that we understand each other was crucial during the projects. Planning actively together helped us understand what and when to do needed tasks and keep the timeline of projects in all organizations. Joint regular meetings with different points of view, joint communication channels, and joint documents helped us share information and stay updated.

Key Steps for Effective Co-Creation

Define a Shared Goal – One of the core elements of co-creation is establishing a common objective. In our projects, all participants—customers, stakeholders, and internal teams—aligned on a single target: launching on schedule with high quality to deliver the best possible customer experience.

Foster Open Communication and Trust – Collaboration thrives in an environment of transparency and trust. Our approach involved encouraging open discussions to manage expectations effectively and maintaining joint communication channels where all participants could share updates and insights.

Use Structured Co-Creation Methods – to ensure efficiency, we applied structured co-creation techniques, such as a user-centered approach to problem-solving that helped us refine solutions based on customer needs and workshops bringing together different expertise helped generate valuable insights and solutions.

Plan and Execute Together – success in co-creation requires shared responsibility. We ensured that participants jointly planned and prioritized tasks and regular meetings included diverse perspectives to drive balanced decision-making.

Benefits of Co-Creation

Now, afterwards, I think that working together in close collaboration with co-creation principles ensured that we managed to reach our targets so well. I also think that many of us who worked on these projects are pleased with this way of working to achieve excellent end results.

Conclusion and Future Outlook

Co-creation is about bringing people together to share their ideas, insights, and experiences to build something greater than the sum of its parts. It is also good to keep in mind that co-creation methods are useful not only for innovating something new but also for developing current services, products, and processes.

I wish you successful moments with co-creation!
