Best Results Come When You Dare to Step outside the Box 

This August has been significant for me, as I have officially transferred the role of CEO of Samlink to Sara Ramakers. Samlink has been a part of my life for the past three years and ten months, and this time is filled with memories, achievements, and challenges I will never forget. 

When I stepped into the leadership role at Samlink, I may not have fully understood how this role would impact me—both professionally and personally. We at Samlink have worked tremendously together, and I am truly proud of everything we have achieved. We have had a team ready to step out of their comfort zones, which has enabled Samlink’s development and growth. 

Although I am now stepping away from the daily operational work, Samlink will not disappear from my life. I will continue as Chairman of the Board, and this role allows me to stay connected with both the team and our clients from time to time. This is especially important to me, as I have built strong relationships with our clients and my colleagues over the past few years and have been involved in creating a new Samlink that is even more aligned with our clients’ needs.

In my new role at our parent company, Kyndryl, I will focus on strategic sales and leading global sales initiatives. This is a new challenge for me, combining my previous experience with something entirely new. I embrace this challenge with enthusiasm, though with a bit of uncertainty— and it is that uncertainty that drives me forward. I believe the best results come when one dares to step into the unknown.

I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you—the fantastic team at Samlink and the clients I have had the pleasure of working with. Together, we have achieved so much, and the feedback I have received has been truly meaningful. It has helped me grow as a leader and as a person. 

I am extremely proud of all of you who have made this new chapter in Samlink’s long history possible. 

In closing, while this is a transition to a new role, I am not disappearing. My home remains in Espoo, and you will certainly see me at Samlink and Kyndryl office Leppävaara from time to time — perhaps even occasionally in Jyväskylä. So, this is not a farewell, but rather the beginning of a new chapter—for both me and Samlink.
