Kris Blöndal is Driving Growth Through Strategic Innovation 

Kris Blöndal is an experienced business development leader specializing in identifying strategic growth opportunities and building partnership networks. Currently, he serves as Consult partner, Director of Strategic Growth at Samlink, where he leads large-scale transformation projects, develops innovative strategies, and accelerates the development of new business models. He has a strong ability to identify new market opportunities, establish partnerships with global players, and manage complex business portfolios.

Driving Growth Through Strategic Innovation

Before his current role, Kris built a distinguished career in the technology and finance sectors. He has been with Kyndryl for several years and previously worked at IBM for 17 years in various Transformation Leader roles. He played a key role in the development of banking and financial services and the implementation of innovations. 

Most recently, Kris has taken on a new growth and strategic business development role at Samlink, where he focuses on integrating Samlink’s expertise into Kyndryl’s Nordic strategy and expanding Samlink’s services to new clients. With his strong background in the banking sector and extensive Nordic network, he is well-suited for this mission. 

“My experience in the film industry taught me the power of storytelling, adaptability, and creative problem-solving. Whether it’s about structuring a deal, aligning stakeholders, or navigating uncertainty, I approach business challenges with a director’s mindset—focusing on the big picture while ensuring every detail contributes to a compelling outcome,” Kris says.

Combination of Creativity and Strategy  

Kris also has a talent for storytelling and creative thinking. He has a unique background in the film industry, having studied screenwriting at the New York Film Academy as well as directing and producing at The Danish Film Institute. He seamlessly combines strategic thinking with creativity, helping to craft impactful and customer-centric solutions. 

Kris is Danish-Icelandic and lives in Espoo with his Finnish wife. He is known as a visionary leader, capable of bringing fresh perspectives to business and driving growth in a changing market landscape.
