Delivering Excellence: How Our Operations Unit Elevates Your Experience
Samlink’s Operations unit, formerly known as Continuous Services, is undergoing significant transformations, all aimed at enhancing the quality of service we provide to our valued customers. With Alan Rushe now at the helm, these changes are poised to bring a new level of efficiency, support, and responsiveness to our operations.
Earlier this year, we launched the Application Management Service (AMS) team within the Operations unit, under the expert leadership of Balazs Otvos. This initiative has brought together a group of skilled professionals who transitioned from Development to Operations, marking a strategic shift that has strengthened our capability to manage the applications which underpin our services. Over the course of 2024, this team has been systematically expanding its role, gaining greater control over daily operations and fostering closer integration with the broader Operations unit.
In June, Päivi Vikström, a longstanding pillar of the Operations team, has transitioned into a critical role as Strategic Advisor in our Leadership Team. Alan Rushe has since assumed responsibility for the Operations unit, bringing with him a commitment to uphold the high standards that Päivi set. Alan is confident that Samlink will continue to earn the trust of our customers, delivering the exceptional service that has become our hallmark.
– I’ve inherited a great team from Päivi, and I hope our customers will place the same trust in me, says Alan.
Enhancing Service Through Greater Autonomy
The establishment of the AMS team is already yielding positive results. By granting the Operations unit more autonomy in managing the service components, we will maintain and enhance the level of service that our banking clients rely on. This newfound efficiency not only streamlines daily operations but also liberates our Development teams, allowing them to concentrate more fully on delivering strategic project work for our clients. This approach creates a synergistic benefit for all parties involved, reinforcing our commitment to operational excellence.
Alan is particularly enthusiastic about the potential of these changes to benefit our customers. The integration of new talent from Kyndryl into the AMS team will continue to amplify our capacity, making the team more scalable and resilient. This ensures that Samlink can continue to meet and exceed customer expectations, adapting swiftly to their evolving needs.
A Forward-Looking Commitment to Service Excellence
As we look towards the future, Alan aims to bring closer alignment between the business and our operations. We must work together to strengthen the relationship and interconnects between the bank business stakeholders and our service delivery organization and realign our operating model so that we are best placed to respond to the demands of the business.
The year 2025 promises to be pivotal for our customers, particularly with the upcoming regulatory changes in the payments sector. Samlink is actively preparing to support these shifts, ensuring that our platform is equipped to meet the new demands but also the additional Services needs of the business. The Operations team will be instrumental in this effort, working diligently to guarantee compliance and seamless service continuity.
Moving forward Samlink is continuing on its Cloud journey. This journey started in 2023 with the establishment of Samlink’s banking platform in Azure, a move which has already helped accelerate certain key projects with our customers. We will continue to invest in upskilling and leverage the global capabilities of Kyndryl, so that we continue to be relevant in this space and prepare ourselves for the future.
Alan Rushe remains steadfast in his commitment to delivering the highest standards of service. Samlink’s Operations unit has long been a trusted partner to our customers, and under Alan’s leadership, we will continue to uphold this legacy of reliability and excellence.
As Alan affirms:
– We are here to support our customers, today and in the future.
